“Reanimation” is a documentary about a longboard company battling with their own limitations in the harsh quest to find the American Dream. The film follows Five Mile owners Dan Kasmar, Cody Shea, and Stan Zeilinski through the painstaking task of moving into their new factory and redeveloping all of their products for the 2011 season simultaneously. It will bring you into their world and their lives as they attempt to accomplish in one month, what has taken so many others years to achieve. “Reanimation” is a documentary about a longboard company battling with their own limitations in the harsh quest to find the American Dream. The film follows Five Mile owners Dan Kasmar and Cody Shea, through the painstaking task of moving into their new factory and redeveloping all of their products for the 2011 season simultaneously. It will bring you into their world and their lives as they attempt to accomplish in one month, what has taken so many others years to achieve. Reanimation gives audiences an in depth close look at what it took to accomplish what many thought to be impossible. A true underdog story of sacrifice, determination, and their love and dedication to the sport of downhill skateboarding.

PART ONE- The film begins with the militia moving into their new 2000 sq. ft. facility which is completely empty. They battle a tremendous amount of odds against them the first two weeks in the door. Dan takes on the task of re-designing all of Five mile’s existing molds into computer 3d files, and getting prototypes within a week. While back at the shop Cody stays busy welding the new press together, while Joe and Stan get a brilliant idea for the new shop. This first episode also gives you a brief history lesson on Dan and Cody and how Five Mile originated.

COMING SOON…….

PART TWO- will be released July 23rd and will pick up right where part one left off with new prototypes off the presses and a dash to get the new products finalized for their debut of June 21st, as the guys attempt to go from concept, to full production on a large scale within ONE month.

PART THREE- The Conclusion, will be released two weeks after part two but will only be shown online after two full length screenings (TBD) in the Tacoma/Seattle area.

Well folks, the rumors are true! Five Mile is redesigning all of our boards into 3d CAD files for molds and boards to be 100% CNC machined from here on out! As well as a very precise new press method:) This is quite a gnarly task as you may assume and it is setting us back a few weeks into the season. But we are confident this change will push Five Mile farther than any of us had ever dreamed, and will further fuel our customer stoke:) We move into our new 2000 sq ft. facility this weekend and its game on from there! Thanks for supporting us and sticking with us through this necessary huge step for us. The 2011 models will be released to the public by June 1st. Five Mile is ready to see the world!
